Build Your Own Bargello
About the range
This range of kits is based on the centuries old tradition of Bargello stitching. Bargello designs use a combination of long stitches and repeat patterns to create geometric designs. You will choose your kit from scratch, choosing from four different colour palettes, five different patterns, two different shapes, and no end of finishing options.
Finishing your cushion
Cushion finishing materials
It can be overwhelming knowing where to begin when deciding how to finish your cushion, so we wanted to make this process simpler with a carefully curated range of finishing materials. We stock backing fabrics, tassel kits and a range of piping to make up your cushion.
We work with a seamstress who can make your cushions up for you. If you are in the UK and interested in this option, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Or otherwise, if you are a dab hand with a sewing machine, we have a how to video here showing you how to do this process.
This video shows you all the steps to stitch one of the Bargello cushions. We recommend everyone stitching a cushion watches the introduction, up to 7 min 40s, then there is a part for each of the specific designs. These are as follows: Flame (7m40s), Feathers (8m45s), Lanterns (10m8s), Weave (11m35s) and Florentine (13m).
