The Pride

This range is particularly close to our hearts as it is a design collaboration between our founder Eppie, and her mother Joanna, with several of the sample cushions stitched by Eppie's grandmother, Meredith. Three generations wrapped up in one needlepoint collection!

Our pride of lions are inspired by the ancient Assyrian carvings of lions, combined with the simplicity of colour palette in William de Morgans tiles. All this inspiration fed into a series of drawings by Joanna, depicting our lions, each with a personality of their own; from languid Englebert, to proud Barnabas, to fierce Fernando.

Each kit includes a bespoke sewing bag, the design printed on the canvas, pre-cut lengths of wool, needles and detailed instructions.

Needlepoint is about as relaxing as embroidery as the whole design is stitched in one stitch onto a pre-printed canvas. Almost like colouring by numbers! With no complicated stitches to learn, this stitching gives you the opportunity to completely switch off and unwind, whilst creating a cushion to last a lifetime.

It can be overwhelming knowing where to begin when deciding how to finish your cushion, so we wanted to make this process simpler with a carefully curated range of finishing materials. We stock backing fabrics, tassel kits and a range of piping to make up your cushion and we have a how-to video showing you how to do this process.
