Why The Year of Flowers? A Journey in Creativity and Skill
The wedding dress that inspired it all
A few years ago, I decided to embroider my wedding dress—a labor of love that took months as I gradually added a new floral design each month. There was something magical about the routine, the quiet time spent stitching a fresh flower each month, and the challenge of learning new techniques with each one. By the time I’d finished, I had not only a dress filled with meaning but also a real sense of accomplishment and growth.
In 2025, I’d love to bring that experience to you through the Year of Flowers project. It’s a journey, not just in creating something beautiful, but in taking time for yourself and watching your own skills grow.
Stitch Your Own Floral Collection, Month by Month
How does it work?
You can sign up for The Year of Flowers subscription until December 10th. After that, sign-ups will close, and you'll join an exclusive group set to receive monthly embroidery kits throughout 2025. Each kit features a unique botanical design and introduces a new stitch, arriving by the 10th of each month. This steady schedule will help you build a beautiful collection of floral embroideries while developing your stitching skills.
If you're a complete beginner, we recommend the full-year subscription (details below), which includes an introductory kit focused solely on satin stitch. This provides a gentle start with a simple design to help you ease into the process. However, each kit also comes with a video guide covering all steps, so no prior stitching experience is required.
To keep things exciting, we’ll be keeping the flowers a surprise from month 4 onwards, giving you something new to discover each month. However, below are photos of the first three flowers (plus the Mistletoe) to give you a sense of what to expect.
Sign-Up Options for The Year of Flowers
We have flexible options to suit your pace
Annual Subscription – Dive in with the full 12-month subscription for £450. Starting in January, you’ll receive a new flower every month, plus a special limited-edition Mistletoe kit arriving before Christmas. This first design, featuring satin stitch, is a gentle introduction to get you started.
Three-Month Starter – If you’re unsure whether you'll be able to keep up with the flowers over the year, you can sign up for the first 3 months. After that, you’ll have the option to continue for the remaining 9 months. With this option you won't receive the Mistletoe kit, however we will send a gift certificate for you to give to someone at Christmas if you are gifting it.
Each flower kit will also be available individually for £45, launching a month after Year of Flowers subscribers receive theirs. So if you spot a flower you love but aren’t part of the subscription, you can still get your hands on it (with the exception of the Mistletoe).

Each of our kits includes a detailed video guide alongside written instructions, walking you through every step of the stitching process. We believe that learning by seeing is invaluable, so these guides ensure you always have a virtual teacher on hand whenever you need a bit of extra help.
Optional Framing Bundles for a Custom Finish
Add a finishing touch with customisable frames
Every three months, you’ll have the option to add a framing bundle to your subscription for £120. Each bundle includes three wooden frames, along with green paints for decorating them in the style of our Botanicals range. You can select your preferred wood stain—oak, walnut, ebony, or a mix of all three—when ordering.
Adding a framing bundle not only gives you a beautiful way to display your work but also introduces the skill of decorative painting. A guide will be included, offering different motif ideas so you can choose to create a coordinated set of frames or vary each one to match the design you've stitched.

We anticipate that many Year of Flowers subscriptions will be given as gifts, so we’ve designed the series to be a monthly treat for each recipient.
Once sign-ups close on December 10th, we’ll send a gift certificate to all subscribers, along with a special Mistletoe starter kit for those who chose the Annual Plan. This way, you’ll have something lovely to give your loved one on Christmas Day, giving them a taste of the excitement awaiting them over the next 12 months.
