Fiskars Needlework Scissors are the perfect addition to your sewing kit. I have bought many sewing scissors over the years and find these have been the best for remaining sharp and hard wearing even after repeated use.

You do not need a frame for stitching your tapestry however I find it a far more comfortable way to stitch. Pilot Frixion Heat Erasable Pen 0.5mm in black. This erasable rollerball is fantastic for drawing out your embroidery when working on pale fabrics. Once you have finished your stitching, you can just hold a hair dryer to your piece at a distance, or an iron over it to remove the lines.

Fiskars Embroidery snips are a great addition to your sewing kit if you intend to travel abroad at all. The length of the blade is small enough to be able to be carried in hand luggage and the snips still have a great performance for sewing with. The snips are spring loaded with a narrow point which is very useful for unpicking stitches and close to fabric work.
