Generational Divides: What Surprised Me 

Earlier this week, I attended a seminar at Goldman Sachs focused on Thinking Differently. There were a variety of speakers, but one in particular, Dr. Eliza Filby, shared insights about generational divides that really struck a chord. She spoke about how circumstances and outlooks have shifted across the generations—from Baby Boomers (1945–1965) and Generation X (1966–1980), to Millennials (1981–1996) and Generation Z (1997–2010). Three observations stood out to me as particularly relevant for our community:
