The Return of the Random and Spectacular Christmas List
Last year Eppie wrote The Utterly Random and Completely Spectacular Christmas List, which was an unapologetically over the top glorious jumble of brilliant finds.
This year, we thought it would be fun to do a part two, but this time chosen by all of the team. This is a bumper list of gifts we'd love to give, receive, recommend, or admire. We had a lot of fun pulling these all together, and I'm sure our friends and family will thank us if they need any extra ideas!
There's a lot packed in here so without further ado...

1. Vanessa Bell : The Life & Art of a Bloomsbury Radical | I’ve lusted after this book since visiting Charleston for the first time earlier this year. It would make a gorgeous coffee table book addition but I’m also intrigued to learn more about Vanessa Bell.
2. Caran d’Ache Neocolour Water Soluble Wax Pastel Set | These are my go to drawing materials, I’m averaging a pack a year now! I find they completely liberate one’s approach to colour.
3. Agata Thistle Tank Top by rabbitbaby | rabbit baby is a small and sustainable fashion brand based in Bristol. I love Sophie’s whimsical, folky designs.
4. Bloom Throw Blanket by Phoebe Wahl | Phoebe Wahl is an illustrator I’ve admired for years. Whilst this is sold as a throw I think it’s far too gorgeous to be scrumpled up on my sofa, I think it’d make such a cheerful wall hanging!
5. The Fungi Stripe Shirt by The Wolves Workshop | the wolves workshop is a small, female founded company based in Brixton. Tiff sources and hand embroiders the most lovely vintage bleu de travail work wear pieces. I had the absolute joy of working with her a few years ago so I know first hand the amount of pride and attention to detail that goes into every garment!
6. Any Ceramic by Louise Defente | Louise Defente is a ceramicist I have recently discovered and I’m so enthralled by every piece I see of hers. I’d particularly like one of her plant pots to brighten up my rather drab bathroom!

1. Pipet Design, Cotton Travel Pouch | Gina Pipet is a fantastic London based print designer and has a whole range of joyful products online from pouches and eye masks to bespoke fabric collections.
2. Mara Vera, Aravalli | Begad (long) | I absolutely love Mara Vera’s block printed wall hanging. Based in Cornwall, they create contemporary textiles using traditional techniques.
3. Welsh Farm House and Wall, Peter Morgan | Wales holds a special place in my heart and Peter Morgan’s paintings are wonderfully atmospheric, with his use of moody colours and bold brush strokes, they really draw you in. Prints are also available on his website.
4. Sabine Van der Sande, KEEP full coverlet | Based just up the road from our studio in Islington, Sabine Van Der Sand is a hand weaver. I have just come across her wonderful work and might even pop in to say hello!
5. Five Day Creative Weaving Workshop, Margo Selby | What a fantastic opportunity this would be - and a chance to have a lovely week in Whitstable!
6. Yatelely Papers, A4 Box File | This is just one example of the beautiful, yet functional printed designs from Yateley Papers, based in Kent. Other products include trays, stationery drawers and hand printed lampshades. You can even sign up for a workshop.

1. Mikayla Lyons Earrings | Any of Mikayla's gorgeous jewellery, but particularly these cute braided hoop earrings
2. Fortnum & Mason Gingerlossus Biscuits | the most delicious luxurious biscuit on earth - and the tin is amazing too!
3. East End Press Scrapbooks | these beautiful scrapbooks are 100% recycled, they are made from pulped down cotton waste from India's textile industry.
4. Pastael | These would make packing fun!
5. Aesop Incense | This incense is so comforting and I think just the perfect scent to accompany a cosy evening of sewing
6. Sezane Cardigan | I love this red cardigan - it looks so soft!

1. Charlotte Keats | Charlotte Keats is one of my favourite artists, so to have one of her paintings would be a dream!
2. Slow Love Feel Good Hand Knit Jumpers | I have admired Slow Love for a while now and the Feel Good Hand Knit jumpers are in my eyes, knitted perfection.
3. Polly Ferns Kitchen Tiles | I adore Polly Ferns' illustrations, especially her whippet ones, having a whippet myself makes me appreciate them even more, imagine a kitchen tiled with them.
4. Erdem Book | Erdem has published a book celebrating 20 years of his fashion house. His designs are timeless and just keep getting better and better.
5. Le Bon Shoppe | I had been looking for the perfect pair of gingham trousers and now I have found them!
6. Silken Favours | I didn't know I needed to see a zebra seahorse on a scarf but it turns out it's fabulous, just like all of Silken Favours' other products.

1. Tort & Tiger Rootin’ Tootin’ & Carbootin’ Cap | I love nothing more than digging for treasures at a car boot so this would be an ideal ode to that love! If anyone you know also loves rootin' around at a car boot this hat comes in loads of excellent colours!
2. Merchant and Mills Sewing Retreat | What a dream it would be to stay at the beautiful Merchant and Mills house in Rye while working on a creative project for a week. I honestly couldn't think of anything better and I'm now considering trying to convince my husband this is a good honeymoon option for us!
3. Le Creuset Salt and Pepper Mills | I love that these salt and pepper mills look like chess pieces. I love the idea of buying someone an elevated version of an everyday item I think it's such a thoughtful thing to do.
4. John Lewis x Sanderson Biscuit tin | Perhaps inspired by our beloved studio biscuit tin. You could give this to your favourite biscuit loving friend filled with their favourite biscuits or just treat your own biscuits to a new stripey home.
5. Hedgehog Fibers - Sock Yarn | Every year I like to plan in a new craft to try and even though I'm an avid knitter, I've never knit a pair of socks! Sock yarn looks so delicious and colourful and I love the idea of speckly colourful handmade socks. If you're a kinder knitter than me, you could knit socks for your loved ones in hand-dyed yarn too. We're lucky enough to work just down the road from Loop London so I know where I'll be heading in 2026.
6. Ottolenghi Comfort | I have recently been working my way through Ottolenghi's Simple cookbook, which I'm late to the party on - but it really is worth the hype. I've loved everything I've made so far and I now want to try all of the other Ottolenghi books! I love giving big coffee table books as gifts as they always feel so luxurious and decadent.

1. Olive Ashford Jewellery | I commissioned Olive to make my boyfriend a bracelet for his birthday a few years ago and I think it’s still one of my favourite things I’ve ever bought. She makes it all by hand and is so keen to share ideas but also take your ideas and transform them. Her own designs are absolutely stunning too - my boyfriend commissioned a ring by her (not engagement!) and it’s one of my most prized possessions.
2. Rowan Yarn - Felted Tweed | I do a lot of crocheting but I have a bit of a yarn addiction - buying more than I could ever need but whenever I have a project in mind I will always go to Rowan first. The colours are gorgeous and so soft.
3. Choosing Keeping Sketchbook | I want everything in Choosing Keeping, it’s like an Aladdin’s cave of stationery! But I particularly love the paper covered sketchbooks. They come in countless designs and colours and I have given them to all my creative friends as birthday presents. They are all beautifully packaged and have stunning marbled pages.
4. Etching Press | Quite a big one but I’ve always wanted my own etching press. I’d love the freedom to be able to print and test as many ideas as Id like and for as long as I’d like without having to get it all done in one session.
5. Casa Shop | I’ve loved these bookends for ages, particularly the red and green ones. I think they’d add such character to a bookshelf. Casa-shop generally has such wonderful and unusual objects, homeware and jewellery that doesn’t feel like it’s just following the current trends. They work with actual designers and vintage finds which is really fun to look through.
6. Sea Monsters on Medieval and Renaissance Maps by Chet Van Duzer | I saw this book on a trip to Assisi and I was feeling inspired by all the beautiful Giotto frescos. It's full of weird and wonderful creatures that immediately made me think about how I could transform them into embroidery designs.

1. Raj Tent Club | I saw one of these in Gujarat last January and have been looking for one ever since. Would love this for Sasha’s room, albeit maybe without all the lit candles…
2. Penelope Chilvers Incredible Boot | I have had these boots on my wishlist ever since my mum got a pair in the sale about 10 years ago. I know I would never wear them enough to justify the price (when is it cold enough?) but I hope one day someone will just buy me a pair and put me out of my misery
3. Wicklewood Hand Painted Decorative Plate | The Wicklewood Guatemalan edit is great – I would have loved one of the embroideries but I missed out. However, these plates would be great on the wall
4. Emma Carlow - Whistle Workshop | Ever since Emma Carlow exhibited her whistles in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, I have wanted one. What better way to get one than to go join her for a whistle making workshop
5. Richard Scarry - Biggest Word Book Ever | This is cheating because I actually just bought it from my own wishlist. Sasha is far too young for proper books yet, but this absolutely enormous word book by Richard Scarry will be hours of entertainment for us at some point (and looks fab in her nursery)
6. Palio in Siena | My totally wishful one… tickets to visit the Palio in Siena in 2026 just went on sale. I would love to go with my mum so we could just spend all the time admiring the banners and flags around the city and visiting the Tartuca museum (which only seems to open for the Palio)

1. Art of Yirrkala Yolngu Power | I saw this book in the Tate shop and had to add it to my Christmas list - I was in a rush so didn’t have time to give it a proper look, but the pictures are so stunning, I wanted to look through it for hours!
2. AMP Jewellery | all AMP jewellery’s pieces are a beautiful mix of rustic and traditional, hand-made by a single artisan with exquisite attention to detail. This ruby ring is so special!
3. Emily Kam Kngwarray | after seeing the stunning paintings and batik work of aboriginal artist Emily Kam Kngwarray at the Tate, I’d love to have one of her prints up on my wall.
4. Skandihus Wheel Throwing Taster Class | I’ve never done wheel throwing before so this would be top of my list of experiences for the new year!
5. Wildheart Freesoul | With a strong focus on sustainability and traditional practices, this Turkish rug company based in Berlin has so many beautiful pieces. I love the cushions in particular (and they’re slightly more affordable…)
6. Studio IMO | British-Nigerian artist Ibi Meier-Oruitemeka, known as Studio IMO is self-taught and only began painting in May 2024. Her vibrant paintings are full of bold shapes and so much character, and are available as prints.

1. Annie Isobel Jumper | She works on a commission basis because each design is a bespoke one off that's hand knit so you have to get in there quick! A very special gift it would be to receive/give though.
2. Hkliving 70s Ceramics Bowls | I love everything from the 70s ceramics range - I have the cafe cups - simple in form but wacky in colours. A winning combo if you ask me.
3. Cled Earrings | Cled upcycles glass to create sustainable jewellery, set in silver and gold. I've yet to find another brand make glass look this luxurious and well designed.
4. Merci Canvas Handbag | Practical canvas bags with the quality and finishes of a proper handbag. Come in lots of fun colours and prints (good luck choosing!) and the large size would make a perfect laptop commuter bag.
5. Viviva Watercolour Sheets | I was gifted one of these watercolour booklets and was shocked by the quality of the pigments. This is perfect for an avid sketcher/painter; it fits perfectly in a pocket and for any on the go art making. These water brushes are the perfect accompaniment as you can fill the handle with water instead of carrying water separately.
6. Torte Hair Clip - Joan Jewelled Lime Cheetah | These clips are always useful to have and Torte make some really fun ones in great colour/print combos. Particularly love this acid green and black one.
It would be remiss of us not to mention our own kits as we think of them as extremely gift-worthy. We've each picked a kit that we loved making and would love to give as a gift.
And this year we also have our Christmas shop back which is jam-packed full of christmas crafts from wooden decorations for painting to origami paper and metallic foils.
