Tapestry is about as relaxing as embroidery as the whole design is stitched in one stitch (tent stitch) one a pre-printed canvas. Almost like colouring by numbers! With no complicated stiches to learn, this stitching gives you the opportunity to completely switch off and unwind, whilst creating a cushion to last a lifetime.

This kit if part of our range, The Pride, which is a design collaboration between our founder Eppie, and her mother Joanna. The finished cushion will measure 40cm by 40cm and is stitched on a 14 HPI canvas. It will take around 2 months to full stitch, of course depending how much time you spend stitching (some customers have been known to finish it in one month!).

The kit contains:

- A high quality bespoke canvas sewing bag

- The design printed on Zweigart interlocked canvas (14 HPI)

- All the Appletons British tapestry wool you could need

- A design plan and stitching guide

- Several tapestry needles

You do not need to use a frame for tapestry stitching as the canvas has a lot of structure, however many people, myself included, find it more comfortable to stitch with a rectangular frame. Therefore I carry stock of the my preferred frame (18" by 9" Elbesee easy clip frames) which you can add on for £15.00.

The kit does not include the cushion pad, backing fabric, tassels and piping. If you would like to make up your cushion the same way as we have, then you can buy the kit as a bundle including finishing materials. This includes a piece of fabric, a set to make 4 tassels yourself, and the piping cord. The bundle contains the colours we believe best suit the design (shown above), you cannot vary these in the bundle. It doesn't include the cushion pad but these are readily available in many shops.
