The Fabled Thread is fast-becoming an iconic brand within the craft market. We have grown substantially since being founded in 2020 with just a small team and have exciting plans to continue to build the business to be one of the leading players in the international craft and lifestyle market.
The Role
The Fabled Thread is seeking a dynamic Creative Production Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our founder, Eppie, to support a wide range of creative initiatives. This is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about our brand and ethos. The role will be very varied, depending on upcoming collaborations, new launches, marketing initiatives or events happening within the business. We want someone who is pro-active, has a keen eye for detail and, above all, loves to craft.

Role title: Creative Production Coordinator
Contract type: Part-time. Freelance or Permanent contract available depending on applicant preferences.
Location: Studio based in Islington, London. Some remote work may be possible, though the majority of your time will be spent in the studio.
Working hours: Part-time: 2.5 days per week, with flexibility on how these hours are distributed throughout the week. There is potential for an increase in hours in the future. We are open to flexible working arrangements to accommodate additional employment or childcare responsibilities.
Salary: £28,000 per annum (pro-rated)
Reports to: Founder
Start date: October 2024

Research and Inspiration
- Conduct in-depth research to support the development of new products and designs.
- Source and organize creative inspiration, ensuring a steady flow of fresh ideas.
- Collaborate with the marketing manager and founder on the marketing plan, contributing to the preparation of content for social channels, newsletters, events, and the journal.
- Identify emerging trends, artists, placesand crafts that align with our brand, and propose ideas for future content or product development.
Craft Support
- Assist in the creation of craft how-to content, including the development of props, testing methods, and experimenting with various approaches.
- Provide hands-on support during new product launches, which may involve activities such as painting, crafting, or creating prototypes.
- Participate in the brainstorming and execution of creative projects, ensuring they meet our aesthetic and quality standards.
Production Assistance
- Support the kit creation process, including the development of instruction booklets, editing how-to videos, and listing new products on the website.
- Assist in translating sketches and drawings into final designs, using software to create gridded designs and layouts.
- Assist in publishing content to our website, including articles, product listings, and instructional materials.
- Assist in the preparation of presentations and reviews for collaborations and partnerships.
- Supporting in preparation for photoshoots.
Marketing Support
- Work closely with our marketing manager and founder to create engaging content for our social media channels based on the research topics
- Work with our marketing manager to organize our content library, ensuring easy access to assets for marketing and creative use.
- Assist in the coordination of marketing campaigns, events, and other promotional activities.
Additional Information:
- Please be aware this is not a design role; however, it requires a strong creative inclination and a passion for crafting.
- All job-specific skills, such as updating the website or using software for kit design, will be taught on the job.
- As a small business, we value flexibility. You may be asked to assist with various tasks beyond your primary responsibilities, especially during busy periods or special projects.
- Passionate about The Fabled Thread’s design aesthetic and ethos.
- Eager to become an integral part of the company’s creative engine.
- Basic knowledge of textile crafts, with some experience in embroidery preferred.
- Comfortable with a paintbrush and willing to learn new crafting techniques.
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop.
- Strong writing skills, with a creative flair and attention to detail.
- Proactive, with a strong sense of initiative and a continuous flow of new ideas.
